I had a very intriguing tart for afternoon tea at work this week.
Chocolate & Avocado Tart.
No wheat. No eggs. No dairy. No tree nuts.
I am going to try and track down the recipe but I do remember some things about it I can tell you now:
the “biscuit like” crust was made from dates, coconut, and I believe, coconut butter
the (beautifully set) filling had avocado, cocoa, and again, i think cocoa butter, maybe molasses, but I could be mistaken there
It sliced beautifully, looked gorgeous and would be a fabulous recipe for the collections of those with allergies, or those friends who embrace a raw-foods diet.
Let me see what I can do to get the recipe. I’ll get back to you 🙂
